Telekom Center Athens presents the new Members Club, a unique space created to elevate the hospitality experience through a combination of high aesthetics, understated luxury, and contemporary design.
With a total surface area of 1,220 sq.m., the Members Club was created to serve as a multidimensional space for meetings, socializing, gastronomy, and events, combining the atmosphere of a historic private club with the contemporary demands of a state-of-the-art, multifunctional venue.
The design concept
Interior designer Kostas Gagkos and his team approached the design of the Members Club with classical aesthetics as a key influence and symmetry as a guiding principle—an element deeply connected to timeless design and a sense of harmony. The philosophy of the space is based on creating an environment that exudes balance, elegance, and understated luxury, offering a high-standard hospitality experience.
Symmetry formed the core of the entire architectural composition. All functions and individual elements were organized along a central conceptual axis, creating a sense of coherence and grandeur within the space. A key feature of this design approach is the two “twin” bars, which are positioned symmetrically and serve as defining focal points of the Members Club.
Special attention was also given to the selection of materials, so that every surface and detail contributes to the overall guest experience. The design takes inspiration from the atmosphere of a historic, emblematic members club, expressing prestige, authenticity, and timeless character, in full alignment with the identity and legacy of Panathinaikos AKTOR BC.
Metal details, leather textures, and natural wood surfaces come together to create an environment with a strong personality and refined aesthetics. Every design choice was made with the aim of creating a space that is both imposing and welcoming, where classical design meets contemporary architectural language in a natural way.
Upon entering, the guest is greeted by a space reminiscent of a «hidden garden», bathed in natural light. This effect was achieved through the creation of a semi-dome structure with integrated lighting, which acts as an architectural embrace, welcoming the visitor and transporting them into a different atmosphere.
Light plays a central role in the overall experience of the space. It enhances textures, emphasizes materials, and creates an atmosphere that subtly shifts throughout the course of day and night. The transition from the entrance to the main area flows naturally and seamlessly, gradually unveiling the diverse functions of the Members Club.
A multifunctional experiential venue
The Members Club was designed as a high-specification, multifunctional venue capable of hosting a wide range of events. Through carefully considered architectural and ergonomic planning, the space offers seamless flow, privacy, and exceptional functionality.
Upon entering the main space, guests are introduced to a dynamic environment of diverse experiences, inviting them to move freely and choose the experience that best reflects their mood and preferences at any given moment.
The Cigar Room stands as one of the most distinctive elements of the Members Club, thoughtfully designed to evoke a sense of privacy, serenity, and authentic hospitality. Deep tones, natural materials, and understated lighting come together to create the perfect environment for relaxation and intimate conversation.
Gastronomy at the heart of the experience
The experience of the space is elevated through a contemporary gastronomic design, positioning the Members Club as a holistic hospitality destination. It features an open kitchen with a buffet concept, alongside a dedicated sushi kitchen, creating a distinctive concept that brings together diverse culinary cultures within a single, cohesive environment.
This also represented one of the key design challenges: to develop an intelligent and highly functional organizational approach in which two distinct menus are both visually and operationally differentiated, while being supported by a shared central kitchen. The result is a space that performs seamlessly in terms of hospitality and service, while preserving the refined aesthetic and elevated experience that define the Members Club overall.
The new benchmark of premium hospitality
The Members Club at Telekom Center Athens was created with the aim of hosting a wide range of events and experiences. From corporate events and private parties to premium dining experiences and presentations, the space adapts dynamically to the needs of each occasion. Every area of the venue has been designed to deliver a complete hospitality experience, where attention to detail makes all the difference.
Telekom Center Athens consistently reaffirms its status as one of Europe’s most versatile and multifunctional event venues. Recent days provided a prime example of the venue’s capabilities, as three distinct events—drawing both international and domestic interest—took place simultaneously on its premises, showcasing its ability to successfully host events of varying natures and requirements.
Our Sports Hall at the heart of European basketball
From June 27 to July 7, the Sports Hall at the Telekom Center Athens hosted the FIMBA 13th European Maxibasketball Championship 2026, a premier European sporting event that brought athletes, teams, and basketball fans from many different countries to Athens. For over ten days, the venue’s facilities were transformed into an international sports hub, offering high-quality infrastructure and a flawlessly organized experience for participants and spectators alike.

There are stadiums that host games and stadiums that make history. Telekom Center Athens clearly belongs to the latter category.
After 19 home games in this year’s EuroLeague, it’s official confirmation of what everyone already knew: Telekom Center Athens is the noisiest venue in the competition. Panathinaikos AKTOR fans recorded the highest decibel levels of any European venue in 13 games, winning the “battle of the stands.”
